"The entire staff at Salmon Funeral Home and especially Mr. Ray Miles in particular helped to turn the most dreaded experience of losing our father into a beautiful, peaceful celebration of his life. Mr. Miles gently held our hands from the moment we entered the funeral home doorway until absolutely everything was finished. Down to quietly entering our home afterwards to deliver flowers, not disturbing or interrupting our family dinner at all. The loving kindness and humble wisdom of Mr. Miles met our every request about our father. He first requested us to tell him about our father; he allowed us and mother to share sweet thoughts and memories, never interrupting or rushing us at all. It was clear to us that he genuinely cared whom he was serving. Properly honoring Dad’s life was what mattered most to Mr. Miles and us. The other staff was completely loving as they guided us through the service. Every need and request was met, and met with a kind smile. It was no problem that mother needed a special chair to sit by dad, water and Kleenex were brought out regularly as well. It was truly a blessing that our needs were all listened to and met. Our out of town guests even commented on how welcomed they felt starting at the entry doorway. This seasoned, loving staff was just what our broken hearts needed on the saddest day ever.
