William Gordon Aycock

William "Gordon" Aycock, Jr. age 69, of 85 Sam Harris Road, NE Rome, passed away on Monday morning, December 30, 2013, at a Rome hospital.

A native of Floyd County, Mr. Aycock was born on February 2, 1944, the son of the late William Gordon Aycock, Sr. and the late Beulah Mae Broom Aycock. Mr. Aycock had spent the greater part of his life in Floyd County. Prior to his retirement he was associated with Lockheed in Marietta, GA.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Gordon Aycock, III, and Jeffery Todd Aycock and his wife Connie Lynn all of Rome; a grandson, Jeffery Tyler Aycock; 5 great-grandchildren, Steven Tyler Aycock, Miley Beth Aycock, Jeffery Trace Aycock, Payton Makenna Aycock and Baylee Aycock.

Funeral services for Mr. Aycock will be held on Thursday afternoon, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with interment to follow in the family lot of East View Cemetery.

Mr. Aycock will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until 2:00 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
