William D. Sonny Jenkins

William D. "Sonny" Jenkins, age 64 of #14 Glenwood School Road, Rome, died Thursday afternoon, November 27th, 2008 at the residence.
A native of Anniston, Alabama, Mr. Jenkins was born on July 13th, 1944, the son of the late William H. and Nettie Amanda Skinner Jenkins. He had been a resident of Rome for the past 23 years moving here from Anniston. He was of the Baptist Faith and prior to his retirement, Mr. Jenkins was self-employed in the upholstery business.
Survivors include 2 sons, Rodney and Jeffery Jenkins of Anniston, Alabama; 1 sister, Kathyron Bramlett of Rome; 1 brother, Hoyt Jenkins, Jr. of Heflin, Alabama. 4 grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Jenkins will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 30th, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jody Brock officiating with interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, James Jenkins, Kevin, Keith and Jeremy McDonald, Ricky Carver and David Pruitt.
