William Curtis "Bill" Falls, age 45, of Rome, passed away on Monday evening, December 3, 2012, at a Rome hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at his residence on Redmond Road in Rome.
A native of Rome and Floyd County, Bill was born on November 27, 1967, the son of Barbara Ables Falls and the late Kenneth W. "Ken" Falls. He was a 1985 graduate of Armuchee High School and since that time he had lived and worked in Floyd County. Bill was a long time member of the New Hope Baptist Church at Rosedale and at the time of his death he was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. "Ken" Falls on November 15, 2011.
Bill is survived by his wife, Melanie Fuller Falls, to whom he was married on October 23, 2011; daughters, Emily Catherine Falls and Erin McKenzie Falls and their mother and step-father, Laura and Tony Branham; his mother, Barbara Ables Falls of Calhoun; one sister and nephew, Michelle and Harley Barnette of Calhoun; one brother, Randy Falls and his wife, Donna, of Athens, GA, and their daughter, Tiffany, their son, Jamie, and their families; one aunt, Judy Falls Weeks and her family of Rome; a step-daughter, Megan Caldwell, and a step-son, Sean Casey. Other extended family, many friends and loved one also survive.
A Celebration of the Life of William Curtis "Bill" Falls will be held on Friday evening, December 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Butler officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 p.m. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at Rosedale, 101 Carpenter Road, N.E., Calhoun, GA, 30701.
