William Colin Thomas

William Colin Thomas, age 60, of 75 Oreburg Road, Rome, (Coosa Community) died Wednesday afternoon, January 10th, 2007, at his residence.
A native of Chattooga County, Mr. Thomas was born on December 26th,1946, the son of the late James D. and Dorothy Jean Gaylor Thomas. He was of the Baptist faith and was self-employed as a landscaper. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca McChargue and 2 grandsons, Justin Cody Thomas and Christopher Kyle Cannon. Mr. Thomas was married on June 29th, 1976 to the former Angela Marie "Ann" Waits who survives.
Survivors include his wife Angela "Ann" Thomas, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Ann and Scotty Cannon and Lisa Marie Thomas all of Rome; 1 son, William Brian Thomas of Rome; 4 grandsons, McKenize Thomas, Camron Thomas, Donovan Hardin and Zackary Cannon, 2 granddaughters, Bailey and Cori Cannon, 1 sister, Diane Thomas of Rome; 1 brother, David Thomas of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be held on Friday evening, January 12th, 2007 at 8 o'clock from Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel with the Rev. Franklin Towe officiating.
Mr. Thomas will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 o'clock until the funeral hour and will continue to receive friends. At other hours they will be at the residence.
