Willard Lee Hamblin

Mr. Willard “Will” Lee Hamblin, age 88, of Rome, GA passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. 

Mr. Hamblin was born on January 11, 1936 in Evarts, KY and was the son of the late Lee and Bertha Hamblin. Will received his Bachelors Degree in mathematics and spent his career in Information Technology. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and a faithful member of Oostanaula United Methodist Church for many years. Much of Will’s time was spent helping his family and friends and he loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed working on his property and spending time in nature. Will was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamblin was preceded in death by his beloved wife whom he married on July 13, 1959, Hester Meredith Hamblin and a son, Christopher Mark Hamblin. 

Will is survived by his children Kevin (Jennifer) Hamblin of Beaufort, S.C. and Lisa (Noah Reichert) Hamblin of Sandy Springs, GA; one brother, three sisters, grandchildren: Ben (Carmen) Chandler, Abby (Jonathan) Chandler and Matt Hamblin; great-grandchildren: Meredith, Hudson, Sylvia, Palmer and another great-grandson on the way. 

In keeping with Mr. Hamblin's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no formal services.
