Waunel Murray "Winnie" Hall, age 74 of #509 East 11th Street, Rome, passed away on Saturday evening, April 28th, 2012, at Chulio Hills of Rome, GA
A native of Blackshear, GA. Mrs. Hall was born on September 12th, 1937, the daughter of the late James B. and Hulda Johnson Murray. Mrs. Hall was a 1957 graduate of Blackshear Georgia High School and had been a resident of Rome since 1971 moving to Rome from Trion and Atlanta Georgia. Mrs. Hall was of the Presbyterian Faith and was a long time member of Coosa Country Club of Rome. Mrs. Hall along with her husband, Jim owned and operated Hardin's of Rome for 20 years. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to trade shows with her husband. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Buck Murray and Pete Murray and 1 sister, Virginia Hendry.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, James E. "Jim" Hall, Sr. to whom she was married on January 22nd, 1970; a son and daughter-in-law, James E. Hall, Jr. and his wife, Raynae of Rome; a granddaughter, Alivia Hall; a grandson, Avery Jones; 1 sister, Mary Calahan of Blackshear, Ga.; a brother, Malcolm Henderson of Brunswick, Ga. Nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
