Warren Calvin Baldwin

Warren Calvin Baldwin, age 84 of #120 Elliott Drive, Rome, (Garden Lakes) died Tuesday morning, March 6th, 2007, at the residence.
A native of Polk County, GA., Mr. Baldwin was born on April 11th, 1922, the son of the late Benjamin T. and Frances Dobbins Baldwin. He served for 20 years in the United States Army, retiring in 1963 as a Sergeant First Class. Mr. Baldwin was associated with Celanese for a period of time. Mr. Baldwin was a member of the Armuchee Church of God, where he had served as choir director.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Martha Jo Rush Baldwin to whom he was married on January 13th, 1946, 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Lamar Wright of Rome, and Connie and Bobby Clark of Rome, and Sherrel Potts of Albany, GA. 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Allen and Debbie Baldwin of Rome, and Warren C. Baldwin, Jr. of Albany, GA. 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Wright, Adam Wright and his wife, Carla, Laura Akins and her husband, Aaron, Richard Baldwin and Callie Clark. 2 great-grandchildren, Brett Wright and Adam Wright, Jr. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Baldwin will be held on Thursday morning, March 8th, 2007, at 11 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with his grandson, the Rev. Adam Wright and Rev. Charles Izell officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 American Legion Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites.
Members of the Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 Honor Guard will serve as active pallbearers.
Mr. Baldwin will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Wednesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
