Vivian Pruitt Davis Poole, age 78, of Conasauga Place, NW, Rome, (Garden Lakes) passed away Monday, November 8th, 2010 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Poole was born on May 12th, 1932 in Athens, Tennessee, the daughter of the late, Hoke and Mae Tate Pruitt. Mrs. Poole attended Rome Girls High and The Detroit Business Institute. She was a member of the Hill Crest Baptist Church of Rome, where prior to ill health was an active member of the choir and attended the Inez Toles Sunday School Class. Prior to retirement Mrs. Poole was associated with Sears of Rome for 25 years in the Credit Department. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill and Robert Pruitt, by a sister, Geneva Brock Casey, by her first husband, Gilbert Davis, Jr. and by her second husband, Robert Poole, Jr. to whom she was married on July 2nd, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Davis of Douglasville, GA.; a sister, Doris Pruitt Nephew of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; 1 step-daughter, Diane Coker of Rome and 1 step-son, Robert "Bob" Poole of Hixon, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive including Macie McCain of Cave Spring, GA.
A Celebration of the Life of Vivian Pruitt Davis Poole will be held on Friday evening, November 12th, 2010 at 6 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Skates officiating. Private interment will be in East View Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 4 o'clock until 6 o'clock at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel.
