Susie Wilson

Mrs. Susie Sanders Wilson, age 84, of Shannon, GA, passed away Friday morning, February 26, 2021.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Shannon on August 15, 1936, daughter of the late Douglas H. Sanders and Opal Armstrong Sanders. She had retired in 2000, having worked for Klopman Mills and was a member of Redemption Church. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed reading her bible and attending church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2018 by her husband, Ralph Wilson, whom she married in 1958. A brother, Jack Sanders, and a sister, Frances Stubbs, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by a sister, Jeanette Hatt, and a step-daughter, Joan Cash. A host of nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the Alvis Miller Memorial Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Smith and Rev. Joe Hall officiating. Interment will be in Gordon Memorial Gardens of Calhoun, GA.

The family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Shane Stubbs, Scott Hight, Brad Coleman., Steven Coleman, Michael Coleman, Timmy Styles, Chase Clemmons, Greg Styles, Blake Coleman and Randy Coleman.
