Steve Frank Dixon

Steve Frank Dixon, age 57, of Rome passed away on Saturday afternoon, February 9th, 2013 at a Rome hospital following a brief illness.

A native of Floyd County, Georgia, Mr. Dixon was born on December 20th, 1955 the son of Evelyn Louise Hollingsworth Dixon of Rome and the late Jack Dixon, who preceded him in death in 1990. Mr. Dixon was a 1973 graduate of Model High School and was a member of the Dykes Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Dixon had been associated with Mohawk Industries for the past 28 years.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Brandon Dixon to whom he was married on July 5th, 1975; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Ryan Dixon of Rome; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Chris Fowler of Rome and Jaclyn and Andy Allen of Kennesaw, GA.; 5 grandchildren, Jaina and Jacen Dixon, Brice and Kaitlyn Fowler and Isabelle Allen; his mother, Evelyn Dixon of Rome; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry and Allyson Dixon and Greg Dixon all of Rome; 3 sisters-in-law, Evelyn Brandon of Cartersville, GA., Virginia Johnston of Rome and Donna Maldonado of Rome. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service for Steve Frank Dixon will be held on Thursday evening, February 14th, 2013 at 7 o'clock at the Dykes Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Mikel Garrett officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the Dykes Creek Baptist Church from 5 until 7 o'clock.
