Stanley G. Edwards

Mr. Stanley G. Edwards, age 64, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 09, 2022.

Stanley was born on January 29, 1958, in Calhoun, GA. He was the son of the late Floyd and Eunice Rogers Edwards. He graduated from Calhoun High School in 1976. Mr. Edwards was employed with Mohawk Industries. Stanley served in the United States Military and was honorably discharged. He was also an avid Braves and Bulldogs fan, Stanley enjoyed watching the games and was so excited to see them both win championships in 2021.

Survivors include his loving son, Cody Edwards of Rome, GA; brother, Jerry and his wife Jane of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Wanetta Mayhew of NC, Dolores and her husband David Walraven of Plainville, GA, Melissa and her husband Mark Sullivan of Calhoun, GA; he is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Edwards and a brother, Glynn Edwards.

Stanley's family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 pm. Once the visitation is over his body will be cremated.
