Sarah Frances Braden

Sarah Frances Braden, age 89, of Rainsville, Ala. and a former resident of Shannon, Georgia died on Sunday morning, January 31st, 2010 in Rainsville, Ala.
A native of Gordon County, Georgia, Miss Braden was born on August 31st, 1920 the daughter of the late Farris G. and Rosa Poarch Braden. For the past 2 years, Miss Braden had made her home with her niece, Alicia "Butch" Ott in Rainsville, Ala. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shannon and was a member of the Homemakers Club of Shannon. Prior to her retirement in 1984, Miss Braden was associated with Burlington Mills for 41 years and for 9 years she was a care giver with Mercy Senior Care of Rome. Miss Braden was preceded in death by a brother, Howard L. Braden in 1999.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, James E. "Jim" and Erma Braden of Rome. A number of nieces and a number of grand-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Sarah Frances Braden will be held on Thursday afternoon, February 4th, 2010, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Loy Fricks officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock at the funeral home.
