Ruth Falls

Ruth Massingill Falls, age 89 of #1345 Redmond Road, Rome, and a former resident of Armuchee, died Sunday evening, August 5th, 2007 at Golden Living Center of Rome.
A native of Gordon County, Mrs. Falls was born on February 10th, 1918, the daughter of the late Walter and Polly Chastain Massingill. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County, was a homemaker and a member of the Armuchee Baptist Church. Mrs. Falls was preceded in death by a son, Fred Falls in 1962. Mrs. Falls was married on February 10th, 1936 to James William Falls who preceded her in death in 1980.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Terry Weeks of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Falls of Calhoun. 2 granddaughters, Michelle Barnette of Calhoun and Carie Warren of Rome; 3 grandsons, Randy Falls of Calhoun, Bill Falls of Rome and Joseph Weeks of Decatur, Ga.; 6 great-grandchildren, Harley Barnette, Emily and Erin Pauls, Emma Warren, Jackson and James Weeks. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Ruth Massingill Falls will be held on Wednesday afternoon, August 8th, 2007 at 4 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Butler and the Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating with interment to follow in the family lot of the Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Grandsons, grandsons-in-law and a nephew, Jonathan Waddle will serve as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Falls will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.
