Mrs. Ruth F. Stauffer Wallace

Mrs. Ruth F. Wallace, age, 75 of Kings Court, Rome, GA, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Wallace was born November 7, 1942, in Nye, KY, daughter of the late Emanuel Stauffer and Mirum Steward Stauffer.

Mrs. Wallace was a Registered Nurse and had worked numerous years in the health care industry, serving last at Cedartown Healthcare. Mrs. Wallace was an active member of Sherwood Forest Baptist Church and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She was an avid reader and compassionate animal lover providing love, care and shelter for her pets.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Stauffer, in 2002 at age 63.

Survivors include: her husband Jim Wallace to whom she was married in 1980, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Nelson (Don) and Lois George (Gary) both of Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Hayes and Rev. Brent Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Rome Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wallace will lie in state at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church Tuesday at 2 PM and include: Curt Wallace, Bruce Wallace, Kelvin Ratliff, Terry Maloney, Gary George and Gary George II.

The family respectfully asks in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Christian Ministry of your choice.
