Ruby Sullins

Ruby Arnold Sullins, Age 91, of Rome passed away on Thursday morning, August 1, 2013 at Fifth Avenue HeathCare.

A native of Whitfield County, Georgia, Mrs. Sullins was born on December 9, 1921, the daughter of the late John Wesley Arnold and the late Cordelia Long Arnold. Mrs. Sullins spent the greater part of her life in Rome and Floyd County and was a member of the Sunny Hill Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Sullins was associated with Dellinger's of Rome. She was married on February 16, 1947 to William Herschel Sullins who preceded her in death on October 17, 1999.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Shirley Wright of Rome; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Cirrece Sullins of Rome; 3 grandchildren, Samantha Lynn Wright of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Christie Yarbrough (Tommy) of Rome and Trina Pace (Rock) of Rome; 4 great-grandchildren, Brody and Brant Pace, Connor and Claire Yarbrough. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sullins will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, August 3, 2013 at 2 o'clock in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Reverend Randy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Floyd Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Sullins will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Saturday) afternoon, August 3, 2013 from 12 noon until 2 o'clock. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Tommy Yarbrough, Rock Pace, Melvin McClure, Larry Locke, Brody Pace and Tommy Sullins.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Riverside Baptist Church, #48 Ash Street, Rome, Georgia 30161.
