Rosalia Colello, age 73, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosalia was born in Rome, GA on July 27, 1951, a daughter of the late Antonietto T. Colello and Tony Colello. She had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County for her entire life and was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Colello was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony Colello, Jr, Mario Carmen Colello, Frank Colello and Nickie Colello; as well as a sister, Martha Ellen Crocker.
Ms. Colello is survived by sister, Ms. Elisa Hubbs of Jackson Hole, WY; brother, Jimmy Colello of Rome; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Colello of Rome; and her caretaker, Kelly Jones who provided wonderful care to Ms. Colello . Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral Mass for Ms. Colello will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church with Father Paul Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Rosalia’s nephews will serve as pallbearers. Pallbearers are asked to meet at Saint Mary's Catholic Church on Monday by 10:15 a.m.
A visitation for Mrs. Colello will be held on Sunday, August 4 2024, at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salmon Funeral Home.
