Rosa L Payne

Rosa Bohannon Treglown Payne, age 79, of Cartersville, Georgia and a former Roman passed away on Saturday morning, May 3, 2014 at a Rome hospital.

Rosa was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on May 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Garnett Edward Bohannon and the late Lillian Ruth Green Bohannon. She had been a residence of Cartersville for several years moving there from Rome and was a homemaker. Rosa was a member of the Brandon Chapel Baptist Church of Stilesboro, GA., Euharlee Senior Citizens, The Red Hatters Association and President of WMU at Brandon Chapel Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement Rosa was associated with Winthrop Manor Nursing Home. Rosa was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill Bohannon and "Big Bo" G.E. Bohannon, Jr.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Scott Minge of Rome; a granddaughter, Briana Phillips and her husband, Greg of Powder Springs, GA.; 2 sisters, Callie Avirett and her husband, Abner of Litha Springs, GA. and Glenda Sue Bryant of Anniston, Ala.; a brother, Alfred "Bo" Bohannon and his wife Linda of Rome; Rosa's caregivers, Sherry, Michelle, Cindy, Morgan, Kristie and Emily. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Rosa Bohannon Treglown Payne will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Reverend Scott Shepard and Reverend Micah Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Rosa will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
