Ronald Barry Money

Mr. Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Barry Money, age 75, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday morning, April 14, 2023.

Ronnie was born in Cedar Bluff, AL on November 5, 1947, son of the late Samuel and Selma Bishop Money. He had lived all his life in Rome and Floyd County. Ronnie was a member of the Enon Baptist Church where he enjoyed served the lord. Prior to retirement, he had worked with the Local Union 72 as a plumber and pipe fitter. Ronnie loved music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed building model cars, trucks, boats and fishing and camping at Lake Nottely. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife Meladine ‘Dean’ Gilmore Money who he was married to for 46 years.

Ronnie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Rev. Daniel Brown of Calhoun, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Brandy Money of Kingston, GA; six grandchildren, Caitlin, Savannah, Alexis (Jared), Anna, Abigail and Nathaniel Brown; great grandchildren, Oliver, Arizona, Katherine; one sister, Debra Cobb and a brother, Robert Money. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Ronnie will be held on Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Salmon Funeral Home.
