Phillip Rodney Phill Arce

Phillip Rodney "Phill" Arce, age 55, of the Daniel Road, Rome died early Friday morning, December 11th, 2009 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Phill was born on April 9th, 1954, the son of the late Antonio and Helen Louise Goddard Arce. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rome and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Desert Storm. Phill was associated with Kennesaw Transportation and for a period of time worked at the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel. Phill loved music and playing his guitar with his life long friends. Phill was preceded in death by a sister, Libby Moreland.
Survivors include a son, Dean Arce of Israel; 2 sisters, Brenda Hale and her husband, Ron of Rome and Nancy Glover of Cartersville, GA.; a brother, Steve Arce of Dallas, GA.; Nieces and nephews along with life long friends, Scott and Mitchell Davis and Mitchell Cantrell all of Rome also survive.
Funeral services for Phillip Rodney "Phill" Arce will be held this (Thursday) morning, December 17th, 2009, at 11 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites.
Phill will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Thursday) morning from 10 until 11o'clock.
