Phillip Hugh Williams

Mr. Phillip Hugh Williams, age 62, of Rome, GA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017.

Phillip was born in Atlanta, GA, on September 6, 1954, a son of Jay Hugh Williams and the late Mary Alice Toles Williams. He was a graduate of Coosa High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Shorter College. For a number of years Phillip was associated with Package Products of Rome and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to pay golf and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Williams on March 23, 2017. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Steve Williams

Phillip is survived by his son, David Williams of Rome; father, Jay Hugh Williams, also of Rome. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Phillip Hugh Williams will be held on Monday afternoon, June 5, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carl Sidwell Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home.

Phillip will remain at Salmon Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.
