Patrick Todd Wade, passed away at the age of 36. He was born on August 29, 1987, in Fort Benning, GA, and he passed away suddenly on December 13, 2023, in Gatlinburg, TN.
Patrick's charisma and compassion touched the lives of many. Known for his loving and caring nature, he left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his military service with the United States Coast Guard, where he was honorably discharged, Patrick found joy in various hobbies. He was an active participant in the Society of Creative Anachronism and took delight in activities like fencing and larping.
Patrick Wade is survived by his loving wife, Christa Wildridge Wade; his mother and stepfather, Lee Ann Daniel and Joseph; his father and stepmother, George Michael Wade and Iverthy; his brothers, Mallary Daniel, Levi Daniel, Kevin Aparcio; his sisters, Sara (Stephean) Cox, Rebecca Stone, Ainsley (Corey) Durham; his paternal grandparents, George W. Wade Jr. and Rebecca L. Wade; brother-in-law, Joseph Wildridge; niece, Elana Stone; nephews, Rylan, Beau, and Carson Durham; as well as his aunt Donna Dixon and cousins James and Garrett Dixon. Patrick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Connie Sue Schmidt and Edward Neal Jackson; mother-in-law, Jalinda Wildridge; and his beloved cat, Jareth.
A memorial service to celebrate Patrick's life will be held on April 11, 2024, at Jasper United Methodist Church in Jasper, GA. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and will be followed by a reception at 3:00 PM to honor his memory.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to United Military Care. United Military Care's mission is about breaking the cycle of homelessness, poverty, hunger, and isolation for Veterans and their families because some of the toughest battles are fought at home.
