Patricia Ann "Patsy" Haislip, age 62, of Centre, AL, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, in a local hospital.

Patsy was born in Tennessee on September 5, 1951, the daughter of the late Joe Wallace Chunn and the late Dorothy Elizabeth Chunn. She had been a resident of Centre since 2008, moving there from the Armuchee area. Patsy was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ prior to moving to Alabama and attended Life Church with her children. Patsy loved doing for others, enjoyed reading, going to the beach and adored her grandchildren. At the time of her death Patsy was associated with Preston Health Care Services. Prior to retiring in 2008, Patsy was associated with Golden Living for 31 years having retired as Administrator.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Bobby Lynn Haislip, to whom she was married on September 6, 1969; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Clint Thacker of Everett Spring, GA, and Jennifer and Brian Lynn of Armuchee; "adopted son", Jim Walker and his wife, Lauryn; five grandchildren, Kearstin Schmidt and her husband, Jake, Beau Thacker, Brittany Lynn, Catherine Lynn and Brody Lynn; two sisters, Brenda Chunn and Wanda Shearin; one brother, Mike Chunn and his wife Brenda. And host of nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life for Patsy will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Agan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Patsy will lay in-state at the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday by 2:30 p.m. and include Brian Domalik, Brian Scheri, Keith Fuller, Kevin Muscat, Keith Morgan and Nick Smithbeger.
