Minnie Eloise Chambers

November 4, 1934 — July 5, 2008

Eloise Everett Chambers, age 73, of #292 Turkey Mountain Road, Armuchee, died Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Chambers was born on November 4th, 1934, the daughter of the late Clark H. and Zula Fitzpatrick Everett. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the Floyd Springs Baptist Church and the #4 Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Armuchee High School and prior to retiring, Mrs. Chambers served as a service representative and supervisor with Southern Bell, where she was employed for 44 years. Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Keith Ables on April 5th, 1998, Mitchell's father, Harold Keith Ables on December 16th, 1968, a sister, Charlene Hawkins on October 10th, 1993 and a brother, Parnick Everett in 1980.
Survivors include her husband, H. Harold Chambers, Sr. to whom she was married on September 20th, 1975, a daughter-in-law and her husband, Dawn and Allen Ables of Rome; 1 daughter, Carla Jo Chambers of Powder Springs, Ga.; 2 sons, H. Harold Chambers, Jr. and his wife, Jeanette of Everett Springs and Larry Alan Chambers and his wife Peggy of Kingston; 7 grandchildren, Erin, Eli and Alex Ables, Anissa Shoemaker, Ashley Colburn, Nathaniel Chambers and Jacob Sullins; 3 sisters, Juanita Green of Armuchee, Marlene Duke and her husband, Bill of Armuchee and Genell Kenyon and her husband, Bob of Deland, Fla.; 4 brothers, Joe Everett and his wife, Mickey of Armuchee, C.H. Everett and his wife, Pat of Englewood, Fla., Kelly Everett and his wife, Carol of Armuchee and Ivan Everett of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Eloise Everett Chambers will be held on Monday afternoon, July 7th, 2008 at 3 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Hyde and the Rev. Edward E. Holsomback officiating. Interment will follow in the Everett Springs Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as active pallbearers.
Mrs. Chambers will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Sunday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
