Mildred Louise "Millie" Cook, age 75, of Jim Lee Drive, Rome, died Thursday night, June 24th, 2010 at a Rome hospital.
Mrs. Cook was a native of Rome, the daughter of the late Romie and Tessie Mae Brown Cook. She was a retired secretary and was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Teresa Gravely of Rome; 1 son and his wife, Cliff and Lynn Burnham of Rome; 5 grandchildren, Richard Gravely, Sam, Danny, Matt and Drew Burnham, 3 great-grandchildren, Jace, Cason and Tate Burnham, 3 sisters, Dorothy Adams, Betty Gilmore and Ruby John Cox, 2 brothers, Buster and Ricky Cook.
Funeral services for Mildred Louise "Millie" Cook will be held on Monday afternoon, June 28th, 2010, at 1 o'clock from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cook will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Sunday) afternoon from 3 until 5 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
Grandsons and Michael Johnson will serve as active pallbearers.
For those attending funeral services for Mrs. Cook please meet at the graveside by 12:45 p.m. on Monday.
