Michael Garland Trapp

Michael Trapp, age 73, passed peacefully at home on September 11, 2023.
He resided his entire life in Rome. He graduated from Coosa High School and Floyd Junior College. He spent most of his working years taking care of people. He served as a police officer, EMT, and Registered Nurse. He retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital in 2011. He attended Fellowship Church for many years. He was also a proud member of Masonic Lodge #622.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Angela Reid; daughter, Amber(Brandon) Taylor; grangirls, Genevieve and Everly Mae Taylor; sister, Doris(Barry) Murdock; sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, as well as his furry companions, Sadie and her sidekick Bella.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Public Animal Welfare Service, 99 North Avenue NE, Rome, GA 30161 Or Coosa Lodge #622, 5096 Alabama Hwy, Rome, GA, 30165.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, at Salmon Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00 with a memorial service immediately following.
