Maureen Lynn Morgan

Maureen H. Morgan, age 98, of 39 Hickory Street, the Riverside Community, Rome, died Sunday evening, September 17th, 2006, in Morganton, GA.

A native of Geraldine, Ala., Mrs. Morgan was born on July 5th, 1908, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Toll Hall. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a homemaker. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mrs. Morgan was married on October 6th, 1939 to William Edward Morgan who preceded her in death on December 26th, 1989.

Survivors include 2 sons, Feddie Morgan of Morganton, Ga. and Steve Morgan of Rome; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive as do a sister, Analee Morgan of Crossville, Ala.

Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan will be held on Wednesday afternoon, September 20th, 2006 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Morgan will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 o'clock noon until the funeral hour.
