Mattie Alice Talley

Mattie Alice Ridley Talley, of Curryville, Georgia died Tuesday morning, December 29th, 2009 at a Rome hospital.
A native of Whitfield County Mrs. Talley was the daughter of the late George Ridley, Sr. and the late Mattie Edmondson Ridley. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Talley was married in 1936 to Walter S. "Jett" Talley who preceded her in death in 1980.
Survivors include 3 sons, Marvin (Ann) Talley, Richard (Edna) Talley and Fred Talley all of Rome; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, a sister, Ruth Morgan of Dalton, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration service of the life of Mrs. Talley will be held for the family on Monday evening, January 4th, 2010, at 7 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating.
