Mary Carol Touchstone

Mary Carol Touchstone, age 60, of #374 Old Bells Ferry Road, NE, Rome died Monday evening, May 19th, 2008 at the home of a daughter.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Touchstone was born on November 26th, 1947, the daughter of Kerney Camp and the late Betty Allen Camp. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Touchstone was a graduate of Model High School and attended Shorter College. She was associated with Outside and Mannington Carpets. Mrs. Touchstone was preceded in death by a grandson, Chase Keener on January 28th, 2008. She was married on December 18th, 1966 to David Franklin Touchstone who preceded her in death on February 18th, 1994.
Survivors include 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Kim and Bob Howe of Rome, Crystal Touchstone of Dedwood, South Dakota and Tabitha "Tabbi" Jett of Rome; 8 grandchildren, her father, Kerney Camp of Rome; 2 sisters, Sharon Hoban of Rome and Cindy Allen of Macon, GA.; 2 brothers, Billy and Steve Camp both of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mary Carol Touchstone will be held on Thursday afternoon, May 22nd, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Rev. Max Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, John and Andrew Hoban, Steve Harkins, Jason Gilbert and John Jett.
Mrs. Touchstone will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Wednesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours the family will be at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bob Howe at #418 Old Bells Ferry Road, Rome.
