Martha Gail Tilly

Martha Gail Terrell Tilly, age 64, of Rome, Georgia and a former resident of Lee Avenue in Rome died Monday evening, January 26th, 2009 at a Rome hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Tilly was born on March 21st, 1944, the daughter of the late Lee and Lillian Montgomery Terrell. She was a 1964 graduate of Armuchee High School and for many years was associated with Tilly Drug Store of Rome. She was married on June 2nd, 1968 to Ralph S. Tilly, Sr. who survives. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Margaret Tilly and brother-in-law, Wayne Ingram.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Cindy Tilly of Rome; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Millie Moore and her husband, Grady of Rome and Juanita Ingram of Powder Springs, GA.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Terrell and his wife, Pat of Rome; a brother-in-law, Clark Tilly of Rome. Nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.
Funeral services for Martha Gail Terrell Tilly will be held Thursday afternoon, January 29th, 2009 at 3 o'clock from the graveside of Myrtle Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Stephens officiating with interment to follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Tilly will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 1 until 2:30 p.m.
