Margaret Louise Broach Jackson, age 89, of #171 Salley Davis Road, NE, Armuchee (The Rosedale Community) passed away early Sunday morning, April 10th, 2011 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Jackson was born on July 23rd, 1921 the daughter of the late Joseph Monroe Broach and the late Eula Dora Compton Broach. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of the Floyd Spring Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and prior to her retirement she was a master beautician and for 10 years served as a medical nurse in Kansas. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She was married in May 1937 to Dewey Turner Jackson who preceded her in death in 1991.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Lynn Toles of Armuchee; a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Angie Jackson of Kansas City, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive as do a sister, Virginia Hall of Calera, Ala. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held this (Tuesday) afternoon, April 12th, 2011 at 1:30 from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens (at the Gazebo) with Pastor Harold Jones and Rev. Norman Stapp officiating with interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Mark and Clark Toles, Travis Dale Jackson and Ian Jackson.
Mrs. Jackson will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) from 11:30 am until 1 o'clock. At other hours the family will be at the residence.
