Mrs. Marcile Bailey Greeson

Mrs. Marcile Bailey Greeson age 76 of Cinnamon Lane, Rome died Tuesday following a brief illness.

Mrs. Greeson was born June 28, 1941 in Cobb County, daughter of the late Bethel B. Bailey and Ruthell Fowler Bailey. Mrs. Greeson worked for 38 years at Burlington Industries/Galey & Lord prior to her retirement. Mrs. Greeson was a devoted member of New Antioch Baptist Church and Faith Ladies Sunday School Class. Mrs. Greeson enjoyed camping, shopping, ceramics, flower arranging and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Greeson was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard Loy Greeson to whom she was married December 16, 1961 and a sister Audrey Bailey.

Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Worley (Willis) Adairsville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Randell Greeson (Lisa), Mary Ester, FL; and Barry Greeson of Rome. Three brothers, Marshall Bailey, Rome; Melton Bailey, Rome and Harry Bailey, Cedar Bluff, AL; one sister, Vel Dunn, Bradford, Arkansas; a special sister-in-law, Patricia Irvine, Shannon; five grandchildren, Wesley and Jeremy Worley, Derek Greeson, Katie Greeson Nelson and Briana Greeson, four great grandson, Ivan Worley, Aiden Worley, Waylon Worley and Zachary Nelson, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday 2 PM at New Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Williams, Rev. Max Tucker, Rev. Erick Hardman and Mr. Tracy Hardy officiating, interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Greeson will lie in state Friday from 1 PM until the funeral hour.

The family will gather at Salmon Funeral Home Thursday where they will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM at other hours they may be contacted at their respected residences.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at New Antioch Baptist Church Friday at 1 PM and include: Dewayne Metcalf, Rodney Leonard, Bobby Hale, Shane Reynolds, Wesley Worley and Jermey Worley.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions in Mrs. Greesons name may be made to New Antioch Baptist Church.
