Lillian Watkins

Lillian McEver Mayfield Watkins, age 86, of Clarksville, Georgia, formerly of the Rome, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 31st, 2010 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Polk County, Georgia on July 2nd, 1924 to the late Robert and Gertrude Bolinger McEver. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph S. Mayfield in 1967 and her second husband, Thomas Watkins in 2004. Mrs. Watkins retired from Klopman Mills as a training instructor with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Mayfield Fowler and her husband, Rev. Wayne Fowler, Clarksville, GA.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy S. and Donna Mayfield, Claxton, GA.; 4 grandchildren, Karis and Preston fowler, Clarksville, GA. and Abby and Allison Mayfield, Claxton, GA.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funereal services are scheduled for 11 o'clock on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home in Rome, GA. with the Rev. Ken Hinkley and the Rev. Wayne Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Aragon Community Cemetery at Aragon, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, November 1st, 2010, at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home, 2516 New Calhoun Highway, NE, Rome, GA. 30161.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 2293 Calhoun Road NE, Rome, GA. 30161.
