Lemuel Sullins

December 30, 1946 — September 18, 2014

MSgt. USAF Retired, Lemuel Gary Sullins of Rome, passed away on Sept. 18, 2014 at the age of 67. He was born in Gadsden, AL on Dec. 30, 1946 the son of L.G. Sullins and his mother Dorothy Cook Adams of Rome, GA. Gary served his country proudly around the world in the U.S. Air Force. Gary was of the protestant faith. He was preceded in death by his father L.G. Sullins; brothers, Benjamin Rudy Sullins, Frank Poole; aunts, Sarah Carver, Mary Beck, Mildred Cook, Janette Collins; uncles, Jim Cook, Bobby Joe Cook, Ervin Cook.

Mr. Sullins is survived by his wife whom he married in 1970 Cheryl L. Barrineau Sullins; two sons, Christopher Sullins (Adel) and Lemuel Sullins Jr(Alicia); grandsons, Taylor Sullins and Zayden Sullins; brothers John Sullins, Ervin Poole; aunts, Ruby Cox, Betty Kendrick Gilmore; uncles, Buster Cook, Rick Cook; sister-in-laws, Linda Sullins, Cheryl Poole, Cathy Poole; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank Darlene Puckett and Heyman Hospice and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. There will be a committal service at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2:30 pm also on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014.
