Kody Skyler Hillegeist, age 23, of Kingston, GA passed away from this journey and went to meet Jesus on his next journey on February 18, 2025. Kody was born on July 30, 2001, in Calhoun, Georgia.
Kody was a dedicated employee at Neaton Rome, where he excelled in his role as a Maintenance Technician. His expertise was grounded in his formal education; he graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College with multiple degrees in Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technology, showcasing his commitment to his craft and his desire to continually improve.
Deeply devoted to his family, Kody found immense joy in spending quality time with them. He was a regular attendee at Redemption Church, where he felt loved and welcomed a place that gave him hope, peace and strength. Kody’s personality was a blend of enthusiasm and curiosity, reflected in his diverse interests and hobbies. He had a profound love for anime, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge through studying history, and a passion for building and fixing things. His Vespa was not just a mode of transportation; it was a project he loved to work on. Kody was a devoted reader, immersing himself in countless books, further enhancing his understanding of the world around him.
He is survived by his loving parents, Victoria Maddox-Frazee and Michael Frazee of Kingston, GA; his brothers, Gavin Frazee and Matthew Smith; sisters, Destiny Smith, Catlin Smith, Ava Frazee, and London Frazee; his maternal grandparents, Jackie and James Maddox of Reseca, GA; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Regina Frazee of Powder Springs, GA; paternal great grandparent, Ena Walraven of Riverdale, GA; stepfather, Cory Smith; uncles, Robert Garland, Matthew Maddox, James Maddox, Jr., and David (LaDora) Card; aunts, Stephanie Lightning, Shawna (Mitchell) Parker, Joellene Garland, and Jeiellyn Maddox, and so many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Kody will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Redemption Church, 105 Broadus Rd NE, Rome, GA 30161 with Pastor Nick Jones and Pastor Bryan Clark officiating.
