Kay Barnett

Kay B. Barnett, age 58, of #81 Jones Bend Road, Rome, died Sunday afternoon, June 29th, 2008 at 1:38 p.m. at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Ms. Barnett was born on February 8th, 1950 the daughter of James C. and Ruby Grace Ragland Blackwood. She had spent her entire life in Rome and was a member of the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church, where she was a member of the JOY Club. Ms. Barnett was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and prior to retiring in 2004 was associated with BellSouth for 35 years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Wanda Barnett of Rome; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Waters, Timothy, Ashleigh, Alexis and Allyson Barnett, 1 sister, Elaine Lively of Kennesaw, Ga. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Kay B. Barnett will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon, July 2nd, 2008 at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church with the Rev. Mac McCurry officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery, Summerville, GA.
The family will receive friends this afternoon from 12 o'clock noon until the funeral hour at the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Terry and Adam Lovell, Dennis Gay and Jim Miller.
