John Willie Wadsworth

John W. Wadsworth, Jr. age 73, of #161 Castlebar Court, Mableton, GA. and formerly of Floyd County, GA. passed away Friday Morning, November 12th, 2010 at the resident in Mableton.

A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, Mr. Wadsworth was the son of the late John W. Wadsworth, Sr. and the late Ruby Moore Wadsworth. He was a 1956 graduate of Armuchee High School and was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Wadsworth was of the Methodist Faith and retired from Lockheed as an Aircraft Design Engineer Senior. Mr. Wadsworth was preceded in death by a brother, William Thomas Wadsworth in May 2010.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Reece Wadsworth; a son, John W. Wadsworth, III and his wife, Karen of Rockmart, GA.; a grandson, Dustin Wadsworth and a granddaughter, Kristen Wadsworth; 2 sisters, LaRue Junkins of LaFayette, GA. and Kathleen Cearfoss of Orlando, Florida. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for John W. Wadsworth, Jr. will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 14th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jody Brock officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
