John Lewis Davis, age 62, of Rome, GA, passed away on November 10, 2024, at a local hospital, with his loved ones by his side.
John was born on January 20, 1962, in Rome, Georgia. Throughout his career, John served as a mechanic and tire technician, where his skills and work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. He retired from Bert Brooks Tire after several years of service. Known for his attention to detail and reliability, he found joy in his craft and took pride in the service he provided.
John was an avid sports enthusiast, proudly cheering on Alabama football and following NASCAR. His passion for these sports was a testament to his spirited nature and love for competition. These interests brought him joy and provided a shared connection with friends and family alike.
He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Daphne Davis and Stephanie Turner, and his sons, Jonathan Davis, Brent Towe and Dewayne Towe. John is also survived by his significant other, Pam Towe; brothers, Tim, Gene, and Billy Davis; mother-in-law, Sandra Jones; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Davis and Rosie Lee Darby Davis; and his sisters, Vera Stephens, Donna Buffington, Cora Matney, and Bobbie Hudgins.
In keeping with his wishes, John will be cremated, and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
