Joanne Bartel

Mrs. Vivian Joanne Bartel, age 60, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away on Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2017, in a local hospital.

Joanne was born in Rome on February 26, 1957, the daughter of the late Gordon Lee Davis and Vivian Maxine Tucker Davis. She had been a resident of Floyd County her entire life and was a housewife and homemaker. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee "Bob" Smith.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Linda Thomaston, of Cave Spring; two grandchildren, Jacob and Victoria Thomaston. Her former husband and friend, Vernon Bartel, also survives.

In honoring Joannes wishing, she will be cremated and the family will host a private memorial service at a later date.
