Jerry Dewayne Potter, passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 68 in Rome, Georgia. Born on August 18, 1956, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jerry lived a life marked by dedication and passion, both in his career and personal pursuits.

Jerry devoted his professional life to the automotive industry, displaying a remarkable talent for auto body work. His skills and expertise made a lasting impact on those he worked with and served, reflecting his commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jerry was known for his love of the outdoors and competitive spirit. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, often finding peace in nature. In addition to these hobbies, he was an avid football fan and found joy in playing Rook, a card game he eagerly shared with family and friends. Working on cars was not just a job for Jerry; it was a passion that intertwined with his personal life.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Potter Niedergall; his son, Jason Potter; and his granddaughter, Elliana Niedergall. He shared a special bond with his sister, Diane Vaughn, and his brother, Frank Potter, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Potter; mother, Eloise Ellis Potter; and his beloved wife of 41 years, Carolyn O’Neal Potter. Jerry’s legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
