Jerry Patrick Trammell

Mr. Jerry Patrick Trammell, Sr., age 77, of the Shannon community, passed away August 18, 2014 at a residence.

Mr. Trammell was born in Floyd County, GA on June 27, 1937, son of the late Frank Stanford Trammell Jr. and the late Marie Trammell Andrews. He was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church. He had retired from Pharr Yarns of Georgia (Mohawk) after 25 years of dedicated service. Mr. Trammell loved his family and was a devoted and loving husband. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Duke Trammell to whom he was married for forty four years and a sister, Juanita Trammell Shifflett Dunagan. Mr. Trammell spent some of his early years with his special uncle and aunt, Will Henry and Lottie Mae Trammell, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Patrick Trammell, Jr. (Betsy ) and Mark Timothy Trammell (Stacey) and one daughter, Vicki Trammell Wilson (David Branton); grandchildren, Kelly Roberson (Brandon), Katie Hyman (Matt), Courtney Trammell, Zach Trammell, Adam Trammell, and Josh Wilson (Amber); three great grandchildren, Ryan Roberson, Dylan Roberson, and Brody Sanders; a sister, Helen Trammell Cash Suppes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home.

Both active and Honorary Pallbearers are asked to assemble at 10:30am and include Josh Wilson, Zach Trammell, David Duke, Chuck Hardin, Brandon Roberson and Matt Hyman. Honorary Pallbearers include Adam Trammell and Brody Sanders.
