Jerry Dean Carlisle

Jerry D. Carlisle, age 63, of #2002 Maple Avenue, Rome, died Tuesday evening, February 19th, 2008 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Carlisle was born on June 14th, 1944, the son of the late Bynie Boyd and Eva White Carlisle. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rome and Floyd County and was of the Baptist Faith. Prior to his retirement Mr. Carlisle was a mechanic and a heating and air condition technician.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Wilson Carlisle, 1 daughter, Wendy Ann Brock of North Dakota; 2 sons, Jeffery Dean Carlisle of Corpus Christi, Texas and Christopher Richard Wilson of Rome; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter also survive as do a brother, James Boyd Carlisle of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Jerry D. Carlisle will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating with interment to follow in East View Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jeff Carlisle, Jerith, Blake and Mike Stork, Bridges Teitsort and Chris Wilson.
Mr. Carlisle will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Friday from 12 o'clock noon until the funeral hour. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.
