Jared Bryce Mcgatha

Jared Bryce McGatha, age 15, of #26 McClain Road, Kingston, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 5th, 2011 at a local hospital from injuries sustained in an ATV accident near his residence.
A native of Gadsden, Alabama, Jared was born on August 26th, 1995, the son of Bobby J. and Alexa Jill Rochester McGatha. He had spent the greater part of his life in Floyd County and was a 9th grade student at Model High School and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. Jared was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Connie Rochester Gfeller and by great-grandmothers, Ella Mae Sharpe and Louise Rochester.
Survivors include his parents, Bobby and Alexa McGatha of Kingston; 2 sisters, Jenna and Jordon McGatha of Kingston; a brother, Kyle McGatha of Kingston; Grandparents, Jim and Betty Rochester of Cedar Bluff, AL. and Gail McGatha of Centre, AL.; a great-grandmother, Erma McGatha of Centre, Al. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services for Jared will be held on Thursday afternoon, March 10th, 2011 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Swafford officiating with interment to follow in Morning View Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Kyle McGatha, Jesse Medlock, Jamie Rochester, Joey Emery, Raymond Dail, Chad Owens, Rob Ellinger, Frankie Shirley and Brent Helton.
Jared will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Wednesday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
