Janet Marie Roberts

Jan Roberts, age 48, of #25 Nicholas Drive, NE, Rome (the Armuchee Community) died suddenly early Thursday morning, August 14th, 2008 at her residence after suffering an apparent heart attach.
A native of Floyd County, Jan was born on December 24th, 1959, the daughter of the late Edward Curtis Diggs and the late Laura Mae Jones Diggs. Jan was a life long resident of Floyd County, attended Coosa High School and was the owner of Jan Roberts Trucking Company, Inc. She was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Taylor Roberts and Tiffany Holder.
Jan is survived by a daughter, Tonya Roberts and companion, Kirk Holder of Armuchee; a son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Katie Roberts of Armuchee; 2 grandchildren, Haley Snyder and Victoria Trapp; father of Josh and Tonya, Tommy Roberts of Armuchee; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Dennis Reece of Summerville, GA. and Judy and Roger Brewster of Gaylesvilles, Ala.; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Gary and Jayne Diggs and Eddie and Sherri Diggs all of Rome;. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Jan Roberts will be held on Saturday afternoon, August 16th, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with her brother, Rev. Gary Diggs officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jeff, Jess and Dennis Reece, Blue Brewster, Michael and Eddie Diggs.
Jan will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours the family will be at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Katie Roberts, #1234 Floyd Springs Road NE, Armuchee, GA.
