James William Jack Henry

James William "Jack" Henry, age 83, of #800 North 5th Avenue, Rome, died Friday afternoon, October 5th, 2007 at the residence.
A native of Chattooga County, Mr. Henry was born on October 28th, 1923, the son of the late Thomas J. and Lillie Chandler Henry. He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Henry was associated with Piggly Wiggly as a grocery manager in Chickamauga, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Margaret Hampton Henry to whom he was married on December 26th, 1941, 2 sisters, Bobbie Stallings of LaFayette, GA. and Geneva Payne of Tampa, Fla.; 1 brother, Marvin Henry of LaFayette, Ga. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for James William "Jack" Henry will be held this (Sunday) evening, October 7th, 2007, at 8 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Fuller and his nephew, Mark Cardin officiating. Interment and graveside services will be held on Monday afternoon, October 8th, 2007 at 2 o'clock in the family lot of LaFayette City Cemetery in LaFayette, GA. with the Rev. Alan Fuller and Mark Cardin officiating.
Mr. Henry will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Sunday) evening from 7 until 8 o'clock.
