Mr. James Kenneth “Bubba” Owens, Jr. age, 44, of Silver Creek, GA passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Bubba was born on July 7, 1980, in Rome, GA to his parents: James Kenneth Owens, Sr. and Janice Martin Owens. He was self-employed and worked as a talented and skilled carpenter for many years. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors spending his time hunting, fishing, golfing and playing softball. At home he was the self-proclaimed ping pong champion and loved to challenge his family in some ping pong games. Bubba loved his family tremendously and cherished the time he spent with them, especially with his two children.
Bubba was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilson and Joanne Martin, Dorothy Owens and Charles and Fanny Owens.
Mr. Owens is survived by his loving children: Gage Owens of Silver Creek, GA and Maycy Owens of Silver Creek, GA; love of his life and the mother of his children, Amanda Owens of Silver Creek, GA, sisters: Chasity (Steven) McClure of Adairsville, GA, Missy (David) Coley of Centre, AL, and Dawn Owens of Silver Creek, GA and a his nieces and nephews: Carson Coley, Paytyn McClure, Hayley McClure and Kason Henderson.
Funeral services for Bubba will be held on Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Adam Colston officiating and Meghan Henderson delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow the service at Floyd Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Johnny Wheat, Matt Wheat, Denver Pate, Brad Hufford, Nick Henderson, Josh Adams, Shane Bata and Will Anton. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steven McClure, David Coley, Kobie Drew, Scotty Hancock and Kason Henderson.
Bubba’s family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
