Hazel L. Ingram, age 88, of Rome passed away Monday afternoon, February 25, 2013 at Winthrop Court of Rome.
A native of Cherokee County, Alabama, Mrs. Ingram was born on December 24, 1924, the daughter of the late James Loye Williams and the late Vergie Lee Comer Williams. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a homemaker. Mrs. Ingram was a member of the Hill Crest Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Ingram was married on July 8, 1946 to Roland Paul Ingram who preceded her in death on August 23, 1987.
Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Susan Ingram of Rome and Randy and Dorothy Ingram of Spring, Texas; a grandson and his wife, Chris and Tammy Ingram of Kennesaw, GA.; 2 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Chole Ingram; a step-grandson and his wife, Clint and Lisa Bounds; step-great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Madisen, Kendall and Caleb. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Hazel L. Ingram will be held on Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. from the graveside of East View Cemetery with the Reverend Stanley Smith officiating with interment to follow in the family lot of East View Cemetery.
Mrs. Ingram will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 12:30 until 2 o'clock.
