Gwinn Carlton G.C. Dotson

Mr. Gwinn Carlton "G.C." Dotson, age 78, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2018.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mr. Dotson was born on May 17, 1940, son of the late John Carlton Dotson and Margaret Cade Dotson. He graduated from Model high School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Prior to becoming disabled, Mr. Dotson was associated with Celanese Corporation for a number of years. He loved his dogs and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gail Smith Dotson, on May 10, 2011, who he married in September of 1977.

Mr. Dotson is survived by two sons, Brent Dotson and Scott Dotson. Four grandchildren also survive.

Graveside and interment services will be held on Friday morning, August 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. in East View Cemetery.
