Gregory E. "Greg" Jacks, age 42, of #1220 Turner Chapel Road, Rome, died Friday morning at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Greg was born on March 22nd, 1966, the son of Jimmy E. Jacks and Nina Jacks Bonds. Greg had spent his entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church. Greg was a 1984 graduate of Model High School and had been associated with Florida Tile, and Marglen Industries.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Crumbly Jacks to whom he was married on July 15th, 1989, 2 daughters, Briana and Brittany Jacks both of Rome; his father, Jimmy Jacks and his wife, Nancy of Rome; his mother, Nina Jacks Bonds of Rome; 4 brothers, Chris and Steve Jacks of Rome, Glenn Bonds of Silver Creek and David Bonds of Fairmount, GA.; 1 sister, Denise Loo of San Jose, California; a grandmother, Dora Tate Vinson of Rome. Uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Gregory E. "Greg" Jacks will be held on Tuesday morning, June 17th, 2008 at 11 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Cargle officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Greg will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at #90 B North Ridge Court, Rome and at the home of his mother, Nina Jacks Bonds, #1251 Turner Chapel Road, Rome.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Wayne Dunn, Tommy McBurnett, Sam Selman, Scotty Floyd, Eric and David Tate.
