Gordon Lee Young

Gordon Lee Young, age 84, of Rome, passed away on Monday evening, January 23rd, 2012 at a local hospital.

A native of Rome, Mr. Young was born on December 25th, 1927, the son of the late William and Ella Mae Strange Young. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rome and was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army and a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Unites States Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was associated with Celanese of Rome.

Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Opal Inez Lambert Young to whom he was married on December 31st, 1948; a daughter, Joni Holland of Rome; 2 sons, Greg and David Young both of Rome. 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.

Services for Mr. Young will be private.
